The Latest Balls And All Podcast Is Now Out

Balls And All is now out, and what an awesome show we had with our fabulous array of guests.

First up,
Monika drozdzikowska
came on to the show to discuss
the Imago Maris project.

The Imago Maris project was created to promote the idea of sailing the sea for blind people from different European countries. The main objective is to exchange experience and integrate blind sailors from all over Europe.

For further information on this wonderful project, Feel free to check out
the Imago Maris homepage.

Second on the show was NZBCA’s President
Donna McCaskill.

It’s great to see the New Zealand Blind Cricket Association pushing hard to bring competitive blind cricket back to New Zealand, so if you live in kiwi land and you’d like to find out more on this exciting sport and where it’s played, why not check out
the NZ Blind Cricket Association’s Facebook page.

We followed these fabulous interviews with
Rajini Vasan,
who is CEO of
The Blind Sporting Council.

It was truly wonderful to have Raj on the show and to hear about the fantastic and continuing good work that the BSC do.

Fourth on the show were England’s first male and female blind fitness trainers
Jaina Mistry
and
James O’Driscoll.

It was certainly a great pleasure to interview both of these guests and to hear Jaina’s story about her journey from losing her vision to regaining her independence and how she is attempting to make a difference to the VI community through fitness.

Jaina would really appreciate it if you would complete her
Fitness for the Visually Impaired Survey,
and feel free to check out
Jaina’s Audioboo channel.

Fifth on this massive podcast was
Priya Cooper,
who was an S8 paralympian swimmer and young Australian of the year in 1999.

Currently, Priya is on the board of
WA DISABLED SPORTS ASSOCIATION INC,
and it’s fabulous that Pria continues to throw herself into disabled sports, thus ensuring that those living in Western Australia continue to have numerous sporting opportunities.

Our final guest was a fascinating chat with legally blind ultrarunner
Rhonda-Marie Avery

Rhonda is a 100 mile finisher, a long distance swimmer, a very long distance tandem rider and certainly enjoys putting herself through numerous fitness challenges.

Her next feat involves her targeting the Bruce Trail End2End 2014 event, and Rhonda would be most appreciative if you would consider sponsoring her on
Run The Bruce by Rhonda-Marie Avery Go Fund Me page,.
and you can follow Rhonda’s progress on her
Envisions blog.

The Balls And All crew sincerely thanks all of this week’s guests for making our latest podcast an extremely memorable and fabulous two hours, and we’ll certainly continue to monitore your progress and touch base with you down the track.
